Summer Internship – Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce
Location: Ellwood City, PA
Term: May – August (Flexible start/end dates)
Hours: Part-time (15–25 hours per week, flexible scheduling)
Compensation: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Position Overview
The Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer
Intern to support daily operations, marketing efforts, and community events. This internship offers
hands-on experience in nonprofit administration, event planning, marketing, and community
development while working directly with local businesses, volunteers, and civic partners.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist with general administrative tasks and office duties, including data entry, filing, email
communications, and document preparation
• Support social media and marketing efforts by helping create content, schedule posts, and
engage with the community across digital platforms
• Assist in planning, promoting, and executing Chamber and community events
• Help with event logistics such as vendor coordination, volunteer support, setup, teardown, and
on-site assistance
• Collaborate with Chamber staff and committees on community outreach initiatives and Chamber
programs
• Assist with membership communications, newsletters, and promotional materials
• Provide general support to Chamber leadership as needed

Applicant Requirements
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

• Basic computer skills; familiarity with social media platforms preferred

Preferred (But Not Required)
• Coursework or interest in marketing, communications, business, nonprofit management, or
public relations
• Experience with social media platforms or graphic design tools such as Canva
• Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events
