Position Summary:
Ellsworth Systems is seeking a full-time Lead Electronic Service Installation Technician to support the installation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems. This is a remote, field-based role requiring hands-on technical expertise with alarm, CCTV, and access control platforms. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electronically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical systems to the component or assembly level
- Install, program, service, and maintain alarm, CCTV, and access control systems
- Diagnose and repair equipment from manufacturers such as March, DMP, Pacom, Salto, Hanwha, and similar platforms
- Perform routine inspections, calibrations, preventive maintenance, and site surveys
- Utilize digital multimeters and other diagnostic tools safely and effectively
- Maintain and reconcile assigned inventory and service equipment
- Collaborate with Dispatch, Sales, and internal teams to resolve customer needs
- Travel outside assigned territory, including overnight travel, as required Provide professional, customer-focused service while on-site
- Perform site visits at active projects to verify jobsite progress, technician performance, and assist in moving projects towards completion.
- Verify performance standards are met, process project closeout paperwork checklists, training, and completion forms.
- Propose and survey projects related to Physical Security offerings (ATMs, TCRs, Undercounter steel and vaults)
- Present monthly project performance metrics to the leadership team.
Qualifications OR Education Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security system installation and maintenance or related construction/technical field
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Working knowledge of electronic security systems and industry standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Valid driver’s license Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field (preferred)
· Experience with access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance system (preferred)
