💲Pay is based on experience, credentials, and scope of practice. Additional compensation may be available for on-call coverage, specialty certifications, and expanded responsibilities.

In this role, you’ll perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety for every patient. You’ll be a key clinical partner to our providers, contributing your expertise to accurate diagnoses, efficient workflows, and exceptional patient experiences — all in a supportive rural healthcare setting where your skills truly matter.

🔍 What You’ll Do

Patient-Centered Imaging

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with national guidelines

• Prioritize patient care, including critical and emergent cases

• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout exams

Clinical Excellence

• Review exams for technical accuracy and present studies to the radiologist

• Communicate relevant findings to the care team following procedures

• Maintain strong attention to detail and image quality standards

Quality & Operations

• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and departmental QA measures

• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies

• Contribute to efficient department operations and workflow improvements

• Complete required competencies and continuing education

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and independent clinical judgment

• Support a positive, respectful work environment

✅ What We’re Looking For

Education & Credentials

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (or registry-eligible)

• Must qualify for and obtain ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT registry
  (Registry-eligible candidates must pass the registry at the next available test date after hire)

• Abdominal

• Vascular

• Obstetric

• Small Parts

• Breast

• Echocardiography

Skills & Qualities

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Independent decision-making and sound clinical judgment

• Patient-focused mindset with attention to comfort and care

• Ability to manage a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment

Certifications

• CPR Certification required

💪 Physical & Work Environment Highlights

• Medium work: lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, and patient positioning throughout the shift

• Fast-paced clinical environment with interruptions

• On-call responsibilities for evenings and weekends

• Exposure to clinical equipment, patients, and routine healthcare risks (with training and PPE)
