EllisLudell is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to support the Ludell division’s day-to-day financial operations. This role is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing for a small but dynamic manufacturing environment.
As the primary accounting support for Ludell, this individual will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments and collections, and supporting cross-functional coordination with purchasing, sales, and customer service.
This is a hands-on, task-driven role ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, values accuracy, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
· Process approximately 300–350 invoices per month
· Match invoices to purchase orders within the ERP system (Guardian)
· Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong relationships
· Prepare and execute check runs and ensure timely payments
· Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
Accounts Receivable
· Generate and distribute customer invoices
· Apply incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts
· Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
· Manage collections efforts in a professional and consistent manner
· Escalate complex billing issues to customer service as needed
Payroll
· Process payroll for 20–30 employees using Paylocity
o Weekly payroll for hourly employees
o Semi-monthly payroll for salaried employees
· Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely submission
· Maintain payroll records and assist with related reporting
General Accounting & Support
· Utilize ERP system (Guardian) for transactional processing
· Perform routine reconciliations and support month-end activities
· Generate basic to intermediate Excel reports as needed
· Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure accurate financial data flow
· Maintain organized financial documentation and audit-ready records
Required Qualifications
· 3–5 years of accounting experience in a similar role (AP/AR/Payroll)
· Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
· Experience with ERP systems (Guardian or similar) required
· Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity or similar) preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
· Clear and professional communication skills, especially in vendor and customer interactions
· High level of reliability and accountability in a structured, task-based role
Compensation & Benefits
· $22.00-$30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
