Senior Mechanical Engineer Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Specific background in the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) field.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IMC and NFPA.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Responsibilities Include:
- Perform equipment sizing and selection for chillers, boilers, AHU’s, fans, ductwork, pumps, pipes, and more.
- Conduct cooling and heating load calculations using Trane Trace or Carrier HAPS.
- Handle specification writing and specification editing based on past experience.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and designers across a variety of projects.
