We are partnering with a leading, global financial services organization to hire a Vice President, Employee Benefits. This is a high-impact opportunity to join a lean, high-performing Human Capital team and play a key role in shaping and evolving a globally scalable benefits strategy.
This role has been elevated to focus on strategic leadership, with a particular emphasis on healthcare and wellness, cost optimization, and global program design.
The role
Reporting into Head of Benefits, you will be responsible for the design, optimization, and delivery of employee benefits programs across the U.S. and select international regions. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering closely with internal stakeholders, brokers, and vendors to drive efficiency, enhance employee experience, and support ongoing global expansion.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and execution of health and welfare benefits strategy, including medical and pharmacy programs
- Support the expansion and alignment of international benefits offerings across multiple regions
- Oversee and optimize a complex vendor landscape, driving consolidation, performance, and cost efficiency
- Partner with brokers and internal stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and plan design
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
- Own employee communications and engagement initiatives related to benefits and wellbeing
- Drive process improvements, automation, and scalable infrastructure as the organization continues to grow
Who we're looking for:
- 8 years of progressive experience in employee benefits, with deep expertise in health and welfare programs
- Strong knowledge of self-funded and fully insured plans, including regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Background in financial services or professional services environments preferred
- Commercially minded, with the ability to balance cost, competitiveness, and employee experience
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a lean, fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- Strong experience managing multiple priorities and complex projects end-to-end
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with advanced proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated leadership, ownership, and collaborative mindset
- Bachelor’s degree required
