Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident laundry while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily laundry duties (wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing)
Sort soiled laundry and handle items that need special care
Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate areas
Keep laundry room, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisor
Maintain adequate supply of linens and laundry items
Complete required daily documentation
Treat all residents with dignity and respect
Follow all facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
Ability to handle laundry loads and perform repetitive tasks
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
