The Role: Associate, Mergers & Acquisitions


The Mission: You will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic growth goals by evaluating and executing merger and acquisition transactions. You’re a highly motivated and talented finance professional with a knack for the technical details, understanding how to build a financial model from scratch, evaluate acquisition opportunities, outline risks and key drivers, and execute transactions across utility-scale solar and storage projects/portfolios. You’ll be supporting ambitious goals for a leading IPP in the US market.


Your Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Lead financial modeling and valuation analysis for M&A opportunities across the business
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts, partners, etc., to ensure process alignment, support transaction goals, and progress opportunities through the transaction process smoothly
  • Prepare presentation materials for new opportunities, communicating investment thesis, the key value drivers, market and geopolitical dynamics, and sensitivity analysis
  • Manage database maintenance to track the deal pipeline and for deep market research
  • Have a mindset of improvement and a desire to be excellent, turning mistakes into lessons learned for future successes


An ideal candidate has/is:

  • 2 years of experience across investment banking, investing, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, or similar, working on renewable energy transactions (Project Finance or M&A deals)
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or other relevant areas of study; MBA welcomed
  • A solid quantitative background with exceptional financial modeling and valuation analysis skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills; you’re someone everyone wants on their team
  • Leadership experience or the ability to be a leader, with a passion for mentoring and training junior team members


Salary : $120,000 - $145,000
