Senior IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist – Site Lead to serve as the primary technology support resource for a large manufacturing and operations facility in Fort Worth. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and day-to-day functionality of IT systems that support production, laboratory operations, and administrative teams.

The Site Lead operates as the on-site technical authority, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting local infrastructure, and coordinating closely with centralized IT teams and external vendors. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced operational environment and can balance hands-on technical work with coordination across business and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary escalation point for on-site IT issues related to workstations, end-user systems, and local infrastructure
• Provide hands-on support for production-floor and laboratory technology, including systems connected to operational technology (OT) environments
• Mentor and support junior IT personnel while promoting strong service standards across the team
• Plan and execute site-level technology initiatives such as hardware rollouts, system upgrades, and security improvements
• Partner with operations and business stakeholders to gather requirements for technology purchases and ensure solutions align with company standards and lifecycle strategies
• Support local networking infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling, while coordinating complex changes with enterprise networking teams
• Manage endpoint management and security platforms to maintain compliance with corporate configuration and cybersecurity policies
• Maintain detailed documentation and inventory for IT assets and equipment across the site
• Build strong working relationships with plant leadership, vendors, and centralized IT teams to ensure effective communication and service delivery
• Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and support incident response when required
• Contribute to documentation, change management practices, and continuous improvement of support processes
• Work safely within an industrial environment and follow all safety and PPE requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent technical certifications with at least four years of hands-on IT support experience
• Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft 365 services
• Experience administering modern endpoint management platforms such as Intune, Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, and Entra ID / Active Directory
• Working knowledge of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP with the ability to troubleshoot site-level connectivity issues
• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware across desktops, laptops, industrial PCs, and common peripherals
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals including endpoint protection, encryption, and secure configuration practices
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize work in an operational or production-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT systems within manufacturing or industrial environments, particularly where operational technology systems are present (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, MES)
• Familiarity with enterprise security platforms such as CrowdStrike, Zscaler, DataLocker, or comparable tools
• Exposure to virtualization or hyperconverged infrastructure platforms; experience with Nutanix is beneficial
• Experience with automation or orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Scripting experience using PowerShell or Python to automate repetitive tasks
• Exposure to professional A/V or broadcast equipment support (e.g., Vizrt, TriCaster)
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft MD-102, CCNA, or similar
