We're partnering with an established engineering consulting firm seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join a growing team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, government, industrial, academic, research, and mixed-use projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of electrical system designs from concept through construction while working alongside a collaborative team on technically challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage building systems.
- Perform engineering calculations including load studies, voltage drop, panel schedules, transformer sizing, feeder sizing, lighting calculations, and related analyses.
- Develop construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct field investigations and verify existing conditions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, clients, and contractors.
- Support projects through design, permitting, construction administration, and project closeout.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with technical problem solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5 years of electrical building systems design experience.
- Experience designing commercial, institutional, government, industrial, healthcare, higher education, laboratory, or similar facilities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience performing electrical calculations and preparing construction documents.
- Familiarity with SKM, AGi32, Visual, or other electrical analysis and lighting design software is a plus.
- EIT required or in progress; PE license preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
