We are currently seeking an Aerospace Buyer to join a leading U.S.-based turnkey energy technology organization supporting major power generation and rotating equipment projects worldwide. Due to rapid growth and a continually expanding demand for turbine components, the company is building out its sourcing team to support new product introduction and supplier expansion efforts.
As the Aerospace Buyer, you will play a key role in developing the supplier network for new turbine hardware, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost effectiveness.
Position Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for gas turbine and rotating equipment components
- Support sourcing needs for NPI programs for gas turbine or similar components
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract discussions, and long-term agreement development
- Conduct market research to identify suppliers with machining, casting, forging, and precision manufacturing capabilities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align sourcing activities with technical and project requirements
- Manage supplier audits, qualification processes, and ongoing performance monitoring
- Drive cost reduction, lead-time improvement, and process efficiency initiatives
- Up to 50% travel (Domestic & International)
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in similar related experience (Desirable)
- Strong experience developing and managing suppliers for turbine components parts
- Demonstrated success in expanding, qualifying, and managing suppliers
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced operations environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass standard pre-employment screenings
