Social Media Marketing Specialist

Elkhorn Marketing Group is looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist who can bring strong writing, strategic thinking, sound judgment, and thoughtful client communication to our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media plans for multiple clients each month. Our clients are primarily wealth management advisors, recruiters, CEOs, and leadership teams, so the work requires a high level of professionalism, accuracy, discretion, and brand awareness.

This is not a simple posting or scheduling role. You will use your judgment to recommend content direction, identify strong story opportunities, write polished copy, organize monthly content calendars, interpret performance data, and help clients show up online in a way that feels human, professional, and compliant.

You will work closely with our internal team and directly with clients to plan, write, schedule, review, and improve social media content across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

• Develop and manage social media strategies for multiple client accounts each month.
• Use independent judgment to recommend content ideas, posting strategies, messaging direction, and opportunities for client growth.
• Lead or participate in client content planning meetings to gather ideas, identify upcoming priorities, and shape monthly content themes.
• Build monthly content calendars that reflect each client’s voice, audience, goals, brand standards, and compliance needs.
• Write clear, polished, client-ready social media captions for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Create, edit, and organize supporting content materials, including photos, graphics, short videos, client updates, event information, team news, and other relevant content.
• Design or customize social media graphics using Canva, Adobe tools, and established brand guidelines.
• Schedule and publish approved content across social platforms using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprinklr, and other relevant platforms.
• Monitor account performance and use reach, engagement, audience activity, and content trends to make thoughtful recommendations.
• Prepare performance updates and explain results to clients in a clear, useful, and professional way.
• Coach clients virtually and in person on social media best practices, content opportunities, platform use, and ways to improve their online presence.
• Stay current on platform updates, social media trends, industry best practices, and changes that may impact client strategy.
• Maintain organized records of client content, approvals, assets, calendars, and project status.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and internal team members to keep projects moving.
• Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines at the same time while maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality, and responsiveness.
• Review all work carefully for spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, brand consistency, and overall professionalism before it is shared or scheduled.

• Three to five years of successful social media management experience preferred.
• Experience managing more than five social media clients or accounts at the same time is strongly preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and overall copywriting skills.
• Ability to write in a professional, polished, and human voice for clients in relationship-driven industries.
• Strong judgment and the ability to make thoughtful content decisions based on client goals, audience, brand, platform, and compliance considerations.
• Experience building content calendars, writing captions, scheduling posts, and managing ongoing social media workflows.
• Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Business Suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot common platform issues and navigate business pages, permissions, scheduling tools, and publishing workflows.
• Strong communication skills, including clear, concise, and professional client communication.
• Ability to coach clients, explain recommendations, and present ideas with confidence.
• Basic graphic design and photo editing skills.
• Analytical skills for reviewing performance data, interpreting results, and recommending content improvements.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage several clients, projects, and deadlines at the same time.

The annual salary range for this position is $40,000 to $60,000, based on experience and qualifications.
