Job Overview
Elkhorn Construction is seeking 2 highly skilled and motivated Experienced Carpenters to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks on commercial and residential projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Position #1- This will be a Lead Carpenter with a minimum of 7 years experience.
Position #2- This will be a Carpenter with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and roofing using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform framing work including metal stud framing, wood framing, and concrete forming with precision and efficiency.
- Carry out trim carpentry tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, molding, and cabinetry with attention to detail.
- Engage in restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, siding installation, and general renovation work.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining quality standards; assist with rebar installation and masonry work as needed.
- Follow safety protocols on construction sites; ensure proper use of tools and equipment while maintaining a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience of at least 5 yeras as a carpenter
- Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills, nail guns)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, schematics or technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with various construction techniques including metal stud framing, drywall installation (including plastering), roofing systems, flooring installation (tile and wood),
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety regulations; physical ability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or climbing scaffolding.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication abilities; team-oriented mindset with handyman experience preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
