We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead high-end historic restoration projects. This role is ideal for someone who came up through the trades — especially a former carpenter, lead carpenter, or hands-on residential builder — and understands how quality craftsmanship translates into successful project execution.
Our projects focus heavily on restoring and preserving historic structures while integrating modern functionality. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, communicates well with the team and subcontractors, and can confidently manage jobsites.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee day-to-day field operations on historic restoration and residential construction projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, schedules, inspections, and material deliveries
- Maintain project timelines, site safety, and quality standards
- Work closely with project managers and skilled tradespeople
- Identify and solve field issues proactively
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
- Preserve historical integrity while managing modern construction requirements
- Lead by example with professionalism, accountability, and craftsmanship
What We’re Looking For - Preferred Background:
- Former carpenter, lead carpenter, framing carpenter, finish carpenter, or hands-on residential construction professional
- Experience transitioning from the field into leadership/supervision
Qualifications:
- 5 years of construction supervision experience preferred
- Strong residential construction knowledge
- Experience with historic restoration, renovation, or custom homes strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project schedules
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and building methods
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety
- Valid driver’s license
