Job Title: Patient Transport Driver
Job Summary:
The Patient Transport Driver provides safe, timely, and reliable transportation for patients requiring non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). The driver assists patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, secures mobility equipment, and ensures a comfortable and respectful experience throughout the trip.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport patients to and from scheduled medical appointments.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist patients with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices properly.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and transportation documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Communicate professionally with Transport Dirrector, healthcare staff, patients, and family members.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies by following company procedures.
- Keep vehicle clean, sanitized, and stocked with required supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must.
- Ability to pass background checks, and motor vehicle record checks.
- CPR (preferred by employer).
- Experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and assist patients

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and entering/exiting vehicles.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment:
- Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and private residences.
- May require evening, weekend, certain holidays.
- Frequent local travel with occasional longer-distance trips.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
