Compensation: $22 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
Elizabeth’s is seeking a warm, polished, and attentive host to welcome guests to our fine-dining restaurant in a historic downtown Washington townhouse. We serve a seasonal, plant-based tasting menu in an intimate setting where thoughtful hospitality begins at the door.
As the first and last person many guests encounter, you’ll help make each visit feel welcoming, personal, and well organized.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly, assist with coats, and escort them to their tables.
Manage reservations and seating through OpenTable, communicating arrivals and changes to the service team.
Help coordinate the pace of seating to support smooth dinner service.
Answer phone calls and respond thoughtfully to reservation questions.
Communicate special occasions, dietary notes, and guest requests to the appropriate team members.
Keep the entrance and host area tidy and welcoming.
Thank guests as they depart and assist with light dining room tasks as needed.
Qualifications
A welcoming presence and strong communication skills.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and gracious during busy arrival periods.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred; fine-dining experience is a plus.
Familiarity with OpenTable preferred.
Availability Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
