Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children that incorporates Christian values and themes
- Lead lively dance classes focusing on movement, rhythm, and coordination suitable for early childhood development
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, participation, and respect among students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using age-appropriate behavior management techniques
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate faith-based lessons into daily activities and special events
- Prepare lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and incorporate elements of theater, movement, and early childhood education best practices
- Support children’s social-emotional growth through nurturing guidance, patience, and encouragement during class activities
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool or early childhood students is essential
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development for young children’s arts or movement programs
- Experience managing a classroom environment with effective behavior management skills
- Background in teaching dance styles such as ballet or general movement classes is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education techniques or working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to tailor activities appropriately for preschoolers
