- Develop and implement dynamic dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, emphasizing both technique and spiritual development
- Lead engaging classes in ballet, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary dance styles that inspire students to grow in their craft and faith
- Manage classroom environments effectively by maintaining discipline, encouraging teamwork, and supporting individual progress
- Plan and execute special performances or recitals that showcase student talents and celebrate faith-based themes
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere that promotes confidence, respect, and positive behavior among students of all ages
- Incorporate biblical principles into lesson plans to enhance character development alongside dance skills
- Collaborate with other instructors or staff to coordinate events, workshops, or outreach programs that expand the impact of the dance ministry
- Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, hip hop, jazz, or contemporary with a focus on Christian education
- Strong classroom management skills to create a safe, respectful learning environment
- Ability to develop comprehensive curricula that include lesson planning and activity design for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, teens, or adults in both educational and faith-based settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience in choreography and performance production for recitals or church events
- Familiarity with photography for documenting student progress or promotional purposes
- Basic culinary or childcare experience is a plus for working with younger children in family-oriented programs
- Skills in behavior management and special education accommodations to support all learners effectively
- Creativity in integrating theater arts into dance instruction to enhance storytelling through movement
