What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Elizabeth Brewster House?
Duties
- Work with Director and Finance Committee to ensure safe practices and internal controls are in place.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks for non-profits.
- Experience with processing payroll.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of billing procedures and financial recordkeeping practices;
- Ability to prepare and balance bank statements, ledgers , balance sheets and quarterly reports to the Board of Managers.
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized records.
- Ability to communicate with the public and coworkers.
- Attention to detail, integrity, dependability and a high level of ethics.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in accounting, business administration, or a closely related field and at least one year of related experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
