About the Role
This role sits at the core of trading infrastructure. You’ll partner closely with traders, quant researchers, and engineers to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency - while continuously improving performance, automation, and observability.
Expect to work on bare-metal Linux environments, optimise for latency, and solve problems that directly impact trading outcomes.
What you'll do
- Monitor, tune, and optimise Linux systems for low-latency performance and stability
- Build and scale production infrastructure in a high-throughput trading environment
- Automate operational workflows to reduce manual intervention and risk
- Support live trading and market data systems with a focus on uptime and performance
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across OS, network, and application layers
- Improve observability through monitoring, alerting, and performance tooling
- Work closely with engineering and trading teams on performance-critical initiatives
Your Profile
- 4 years of experience operating Linux systems in performance-critical environments
- Strong understanding of Linux internals, networking (TCP/IP, kernel tuning, routing), and hardware
- Experience supporting low-latency or high-availability systems (trading or similar environments is a strong plus)
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Python for automation
- Familiar with monitoring, incident response, and production best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on performance and reliability
- Clear communicator, comfortable working across technical teams
- Authorized to work in the United States
