Product Owner (SAFe + STEM) - Citizens ONLY - Hybrid in Fort Wayne, IN

Our client, a leading federal defense contractor, is seeking a Product Owner (SAFe) specializing in embedded software responsible for driving product vision and ensuring that our embedded software solutions meet customer needs and business goals.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities.
- Create and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product.
- Monitor progress and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software.

- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (current Secret is a plus)
- BS degree in a STEM field and 5 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Product Owner role, preferably with embedded software.
- Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices.
- Proficiency in C, C and C#.
- Experience as a Product Owner in a SAFe Agile environment
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with Jira / Confluence
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable tasks.
- Proven track record of delivering successful software products.
