The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting. The PTA assists with implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, applying modalities, and supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- No weekends
Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Apply therapeutic modalities and manual techniques as directed
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist
- Supervise assigned Therapy Technician
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper exercise techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Physical Therapist Assistant Associate’s degree from an accredited institution required
- Minimum two years’ experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Tennessee
- Training and experience in orthopedic care and manual therapy preferred
- Firm command of therapy payer-specific billing issues and documentation standards
- Firm command of MS Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) and other key applications
- Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients and clients
- Neat, professional appearance
