Elite Sports Medicine Orthopedics is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Scheduling Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, communicating with patients over the phone, and staying highly organized. This full-time position is Monday through Friday and based at our Midtown location: 2004 Hayes Street, Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
- Answer high-volume incoming calls and return voicemails in a timely manner
- Schedule new and returning patient appointments for multiple providers
- Follow provider-specific scheduling protocols and scripts
- Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and medical records
- Coordinate with referring providers and hospitals to obtain required documentation (referrals, imaging, records, etc.)
- Ensure all patient information is complete prior to appointments
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and team members

Qualifications:KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of medical practice procedures and terminology is helpful
- At least two years of appropriate medical office job experience required
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously
- Experience performing redundant tasks with minimal error rate
- Experience working in potentially stressful situations
- High-level customer service and communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Preference for activities involving face-to-face interaction
- Ability to use good judgment in the course of work
