Horne Mazda is looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Title Clerk to join our growing team in Tempe, Arizona.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and experienced automotive title professional who understands dealership title and registration processes and can confidently manage vehicle paperwork from sale through completion.

Compensation:

$20–$25 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Pay will be based on relevant automotive dealership title, registration, DMV/MVD, accounting, and administrative experience.

What You'll Do:

• Process automotive vehicle titles and registrations accurately and efficiently.
  
• Prepare, review, and submit title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicle sales.
  
• Process Arizona MVD/DMV title and registration documentation.
  
• Ensure all required signatures, documents, fees, lien information, and disclosures are complete and accurate.
  
• Process title work for financed, leased, trade-in, and cash transactions.
  
• Track title and registration status from the date of sale through completion.
  
• Follow up on outstanding titles, registrations, lien releases, payoffs, and documentation.
  
• Identify and correct title, registration, and deal paperwork errors.
  
• Communicate with Arizona MVD and other government agencies to resolve title and registration issues.
  
• Work closely with Sales, Finance & Insurance (F&I), Accounting, Sales Managers, General Managers, and customers.
  
• Maintain accurate records and organized deal files.
  
• Monitor deadlines and ensure title and registration paperwork is submitted in a timely manner.
  
• Assist with lienholder information, payoff documentation, title corrections, duplicate titles, and registration issues.
  
• Respond professionally to customer questions regarding vehicle titles, registrations, plates, temporary permits, and fees.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information.
  
• Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable title and registration requirements.
  
• Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive dealership title and registration experience required.
  
• Experience processing vehicle titles, registrations, DMV/MVD paperwork, and dealership documents.
  
• Strong knowledge of automotive dealership title procedures.
  
• Arizona MVD experience strongly preferred.
  
• Experience with new and used vehicle transactions.
  
• Understanding of lienholders, payoffs, trade-ins, financed vehicles, leased vehicles, and cash purchases.
  
• Dealership DMS experience preferred.
  
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  
• Ability to prioritize multiple deals and deadlines.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Professional customer-service skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dealership team.
  
• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
  

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive dealership title clerk who can step into the position with minimal training.

You should be comfortable reviewing deal jackets, purchase orders, title documents, registration paperwork, lien information, odometer disclosures, payoff documentation, and customer information.

You know how important accuracy and timely processing are to a dealership. You are proactive about identifying missing documentation, resolving problems, following up on outstanding titles, and communicating with the appropriate departments and government agencies.
