Horne Mazda of Avondale is actively seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our growing service department.

We're looking for a proven dealership service professional who knows how to build customer relationships, write accurate repair orders, recommend needed maintenance and repairs, and deliver an exceptional service experience in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key connection between customers and technicians, helping ensure every vehicle receives the attention and service it needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming service experience
  

• Conduct vehicle walkarounds and accurately document customer concerns
  

• Write clear and accurate repair orders
  

• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs
  

• Explain repair recommendations, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers
  

• Coordinate with technicians and monitor repair progress
  

• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
  

• Identify additional service opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
  

• Manage appointments, repair orders, and customer follow-up
  

• Review completed repairs with customers and assist with vehicle delivery
  

• Build lasting customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business
  

• Maintain strong CSI, customer satisfaction, and service department performance
  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer experience is REQUIRED.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor experience
  

• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair
  

• Proven ability to recommend and sell automotive services
  

• Strong understanding of repair orders and technician workflow
  

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
  

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  

• Experience with dealership CRM and service software
  

• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a high-volume environment
  

• Professional appearance and positive attitude
  

• Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented work ethic
  

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
