About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Disability Evaluator to conduct psychological and medical assessments that support disability determinations and occupational fitness decisions. This role involves working with Social Security Disability (SSD), Veterans Affairs (VA), and other referring agencies to provide accurate, timely evaluations and written reports. Candidates with strong backgrounds in psychodiagnostic assessment and a commitment to professional standards will excel in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Establish positive, professional rapport with patients during evaluations
Conduct forensic, disability determination, pre-employment, and psychological screening evaluations for SSD, VA, and other agencies
Assess patients’ strengths, limitations, and functional capacity related to mental health or medical diagnoses
Determine eligibility for disability benefits, programs, and occupational fitness
Communicate findings and dispositions with referring agencies as needed
Prepare clear, timely, and accurate written reports for delivery to agencies
Stay current with field-specific practices, standards, and trends
Participate in required trainings and maintain professional development
Travel opportunities may be available depending on case assignments
Maintain active professional licensure and continuing education requirements
What We’re Looking For
Education: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology, or M.D. degree
Licensure: Current professional licensure in psychology or medicine (GA/VA preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in psychodiagnostic evaluations
Demonstrated expertise in disability assessments and forensic evaluations
Strong report-writing, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends
