Position Overview:
We are a mission-driven Community Living Supports agency dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Developmental Disability Professional (DDP) to oversee the delivery of waiver services, ensure compliance with DBHDD standards, and promote person-centered practices. This position may be fulfilled by a direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP)
- Supervise and ensure waiver service delivery aligns with person-centered goals
- Participate in development and revision of ISPs, including functional assessments
- Conduct and/or review assessments:
- Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST)
- Supports Intensity Scale (SIS)
- Functional Behavioral Analysis
- Supervise high-intensity services including Behavior Support Plans and Crisis Plans
- Ensure ongoing compliance with DBHDD Community Service Standards
- Maintain clear documentation and timely reporting of all DDP responsibilities
- Participate in training and continuing education annually (minimum 8 hours/year)
Minimum Qualifications (Must meet ONE of the following DDP pathways):
- Retired Executive Director preference
- Seeker of Part Time Employment
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in behavioral/social sciences with one year of experience or specialized training in I/DD
- Registered Nurse (BSN) with 1 year of I/DD experience, or Associate/Diploma RN with 3 years (2 in I/DD)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with at least 1 year I/DD experience
- Behavior Specialist or related fields with Bachelor's 2 years OR Master’s 1 year I/DD behavioral experience
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse, Physical/Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Audiologist, or Physician with relevant I/DD experience
- Educator with a Special Education credential and 1 year I/DD classroom experience
- Human Services Professional with a degree and at least 1 year of I/DD experience
- Psychologist licensed in Georgia with I/DD experience
Additional Requirements:
- Current resume demonstrating relevant experience
- Availability to work a schedule with sufficient hours to meet the needs of individuals served
- Must be willing to complete required DBHDD trainings:
- Individual Service Planning
- Supports Intensity Scale (SIS)
- Health Risk Screening Tool (HRST)
- Must complete 8 hours annually of DBHDD-sponsored or approved training in developmental disabilities
