What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Accountant position at Elite Placement Group, LLC?
Senior Tax Accountant
A high-impact tax role supporting complex multi-entity operations with exposure across federal, state, and consolidated reporting. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into detail, tightening processes, and owning key pieces of the tax compliance cycle end-to-end.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
You won’t be siloed into one narrow tax function. This role sits across federal, state, and consolidated workstreams, giving you real breadth—apportionment, nexus, provisions, estimated payments, audits, and compliance tooling. You’ll be trusted to own meaningful work while collaborating closely with treasury, reporting, and finance leadership.
If you like a mix of technical tax work and real operational impact, this is the kind of seat where you’ll stay busy in the best way.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Supporting preparation of consolidated and combined state tax returns
- Reviewing apportionment data and maintaining nexus analysis and filings
- Managing state compliance requirements, including P.L. 86-272 positions
- Assisting with federal tax return preparation and review, including M-3 adjustments
- Preparing 1120s, pro forma filings, disclosures, and supporting schedules
- Overseeing state tax payments, estimates, extensions, and reporting calendars
- Supporting quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations
- Managing notices and assisting with federal, state, and local audits
- Maintaining compliance data within tax software systems (including OneSource)
- Handling annual reports and specialized state filings (including Ohio/Oregon CAT)
What They’re Looking For
- Around 3 years of corporate tax experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or advanced degree preferred)
- Experience with federal and/or state tax compliance and return prep
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Detail-driven mindset with solid analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently but collaborate across teams when needed
The Fit
This is a strong match for someone who’s already been in corporate tax compliance and is ready to take on broader responsibility across entities, states, and reporting layers—not just ticking boxes, but actively improving how things are done.
If you’re looking for depth, ownership, and a seat close to the action in a complex tax environment, this is worth a closer look.
