Elite Placement Group is working with a reputable, growing consumer products organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide immediate support to its Revenue Accounting team.
This is a temporary consulting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strong revenue, gross-to-net, deductions, reserves, and month-end close experience.
What You'll Do
- Prepare monthly gross-to-net revenue accruals for promotional allowances, rebates, returns, deductions, shortages, penalties, and other customer programs
- Analyze actual claims and deductions against recorded accruals and recommend reserve adjustments
- Support revenue recognition and gross-to-net reporting under ASC 606
- Review customer contracts, rebates, incentives, and promotional programs for appropriate accounting treatment
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities
- Partner with Credit, Deductions, Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams
- Analyze deduction activity, aging, trends, and potential financial exposure
- Prepare reporting and analysis related to revenue reserves, deductions, returns, and trade spend
- Support audits, internal controls, SOX requirements, and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with ERP, reporting, and system-enhancement projects, including SAP
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Approximately 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with revenue accounting, gross-to-net accounting, customer deductions, reserves, rebates, or trade spend
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606
- Solid month-end close, journal entry, accrual, and reconciliation experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUPs
- SAP or comparable ERP experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with high-volume transactions and large data sets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, highly matrixed organization
