What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Coordinator position at elite personnel?
Our client, one of largest trade unions in the country, is looking for a Temporary Front Desk Admin for their legal department. Very pleasant work environment! Located on Capitol Hill.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive incoming calls and direct them to appropriate staff personnel.
- Receive, time stamp and distribute incoming mail.
- Receive and distribute inter-office mail.
- Greet visitors to the Legal Department.
- Keep current mailing list of outside attorneys representing local unions in the United States and Canada.
- Type department correspondence, letters and reports, etc.
- Keep travel records for attorneys.
- Track the location of staff members, e.g., out of town, in meetings, in the building.
- Monitor office equipment, i.e. telephones, lighting fixtures, and contacts appropriate person when repairs are needed and office supply room.
- Maintain department and conference room calendar.
- Assist in maintaining litigation files.
- Ability to track internal matters from database
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
One or two years as a Front Desk Admin, preferably in a law firm/legal department.
Personal Characteristics
Ability to exercise tact when interacting with peers, employees from other departments and visitors.
Demonstrated emotional maturity to function in stressful situations.
Demonstrated neat personal appearance and pleasant manner.
Must be punctual!
