What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Laborer position at Elite Industries?

Duties: Under close supervision of Crew Foreman, Landscape Laborer will provide basic labor in landscaping maintenance and construction in residential and commercial settings including basic planting, fertilizer application, tree-staking, digging and clearing irrigation trenches (maximum size/depth 28" deep and 6" wide) for the purpose of installation of irrigation parts, including PVC pipe, irrigation valves and irrigation heads, loading and unloading of vehicles. Operate vehicles or power equipment such as mowers, tractors, electric clippers, chain-saws, pruning saws, post pounders, wheel grinders and files, rototillers, line trimmers and push spreaders in a proper/safe manner. Use and maintain basic installation tools such as shovels (4" trenching shovels and 6" trenching sharpshooter shovel), spade, maddox, digging bar, hand rake, wheelbarrow, lawn roller and grading rake. The employee will dig trenches for the purpose of installation of irrigation parts, including PVC pipe, irrigation valves and irrigation heads. The maximum size and depth of the irrigation trenches would be 28 inches deep and 6 inches wide. The tools used to dig the irrigation trenches are a 4" trenching shovel and a 6" trenching sharpshooter shovel.
Reqs: Able to reach overhead and work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extend periods of time. Must be able to ascend steps and ladders, and lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete tasks. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. No min edu or exp req. Drug screen & criminal background check upon hire.
Work will be completed at various third-party sites in Weld County, Colorado. Employer will provide transportation to worksite from centralized pickup location in Greeley, Colorado.
Terms & Conditions of employment $21.25/hr. At least 35 hrs per week. Mon -- Fri. 7:30am -- 3:30pm (schedule varies: Employees will work 5 days per week Monday and Sunday, between hours of 7:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. Days off TBD per worker preference/employer need). Single workweek used for computing wages. Bi-weekly pay. O/T may be avail/not guart'd at $31.88/hr. Employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions not required by law. Within 1^st^ workweek, employer will reimburse for all visa, visa processing, border crossing & related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by H2B worker with 1^st^ workweek.
Employer will provide daily transportation to & from worksite. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies & equipment required to perform the job.
Employer will either provide Transportation (including meals & to extent necessary, lodging) from the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to place of employment provided, or costs to workers reimbursed, if worker completes half employment period.
Employer will provide the worker with reasonable costs of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place of which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the employer, if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed from employment for any reason by the employer before the end of the period, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. Amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence amount at least $16.28/day during travel to maximum of $ 8.00/day with receipts.
Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
