Duties
- Develop comprehensive landscape designs using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Create detailed drawings, plans, and visualizations for residential, commercial, and public projects.
- Conduct site analysis utilizing GIS tools like ArcView and ArcGIS, including land surveying and land use assessments.
- Prepare construction documents and estimates, including hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and project compliance.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into all projects to promote environmental responsibility.
- Assist in project management tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating construction activities.
- Conduct site visits for project assessment, progress monitoring, and landscape maintenance evaluations.
- Stay updated on industry trends in horticulture, civil engineering, landscaping techniques, and construction estimating.
Requirements
- Proven experience with design software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of GIS tools such as ArcView and ArcGIS for land analysis.
- Familiarity with civil engineering principles related to land surveying, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscape design.
- Hands-on experience with landscaping construction processes including hardscape installation and landscape maintenance.
- Ability to produce accurate drafting and construction documents with CAD software.
- Knowledge of project management practices within the landscape architecture field.
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
