Compensation Analyst III
Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing and enhancing a wide range of compensation programs, ensuring they are competitive in the market and aligned internally to support the attraction and retention of top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, commissions, and equity plans.
- Evaluate compensation structures to maintain external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Conduct job analysis through questionnaires and interviews, developing and maintaining accurate job descriptions.
- Review and audit job classifications and compensation decisions to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze market data to benchmark and establish competitive pay practices.
- Perform in-depth analyses on compensation initiatives such as incentive plans, sales compensation, and equity programs.
- Develop recommendations and present findings to leadership, supporting informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes and lead implementation of enhancements.
- Support communication and rollout of compensation programs, including development and delivery of training materials.
- Address compensation-related compliance issues and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR partners and business leaders on compensation strategies and decisions.
- Provide guidance or mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation or total rewards.
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
- Proven experience managing HR-related projects.
- Strong consulting, communication, and influencing skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with Access databases is a plus.
