We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Assistant to support our Production Scheduler with daily administrative tasks, record keeping, and planning operations. This role serves as a vital backup to the Production Scheduler, helping ensure production runs smoothly and customer demand is consistently met.
Responsibilities:
1.
Support and perform essential Production Scheduler duties.
2.
Assist in managing the SAP MRP program to determine production needs.
3.
Create work orders in SAP and coordinate with Purchasing for raw material procurement.
4.
Maintain daily and monthly production reports.
5.
Confirm material receipts and follow up with Purchasing on pending deliveries.
6.
Communicate order status updates to Customer Service and Sales.
7.
Coordinate with the Blending Department to align production schedules with bulk orders.
8.
Work with Production Managers and Supervisors to prioritize work orders.
9.
Print and distribute labels, production packets, and necessary paperwork.
10.
Audit and file completed production order packets.
11.
Prepare bulk order BOLs and other shipping documentation.
12.
Follow all plant safety procedures.
13.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
*
Minimum 1 year of administrative experience.
*
Proficiency in SAP MRP or similar ERP systems required.
*
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
*
Ability to make sound decisions quickly.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
