Elite Air Service has an immediate full-time opening for an experienced A&P. We are a growing FBO specializing in maintenance and refurbishment of piston GA aircraft, with the majority of our work on high performance aircraft. Our close knit team of technicians frequently works on private and classic aircraft maintenance and refurbishment, with our projects adding years of enjoyment to the aviation community of the greater Michigan, Ohio and Indiana area. Elite technicians frequently provide floatplane service, float change-over and float installs and our FBO is situated in beautiful southern Michigan along the Coldwater chain of lakes. We're looking for a hard working, growth minded A&P technician to add to our team.
Job Requirements – Aircraft Mechanic (A&P) – General Aviation

Required Qualifications:

• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining general aviation aircraft (e.g., Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance procedures, and safety practices
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining airframes, engines, and related systems
• Experience performing 100-hour and annual inspections
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives
• Must have own basic set of aviation tools
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sheet metal repair, composite work, or avionics installation
• Familiarity with maintenance tracking systems and logbook documentation
• IA (Inspection Authorization) certification or willingness to pursue one
• Experience with STC installations and field approvals

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights
• Willingness to work in variable conditions (heat, cold, noise)

Must have an A&P license. We want to hear from you!

Our office team handles customer interactions, invoicing, payments, parts searching, parts ordering and core returns, so our maintenance techs can stay engaged in maintenance, not be distracted with office functions.
