Tree Service Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using specialized tools and equipment such as bucket trucks and rigging gear to ensure safe and effective work practices
• Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access high branches or difficult-to-reach areas safely
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, and general landscape upkeep to support overall site health and aesthetics
• Support tree care projects by applying horticultural knowledge to promote healthy growth and proper pruning techniques
• Use GIS technology to map, document, and assess tree health or landscape features for planning and reporting purposes
• Follow safety protocols rigorously during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries on site
• Collaborate with team members to complete project tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated growing experience in tree care, landscaping, horticulture or related fields with a strong desire to expand expertise in arboriculture techniques
• Knowledge of rigging procedures for safely lowering large branches or trees during removal processes
• Ability to operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, or similar equipment safely and effectively
• Familiarity with GIS tools or mapping software is a plus for landscape assessment tasks
• Basic understanding of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general horticultural practices
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid certification or willingness to obtain certifications related to tree care or equipment operation is preferred
• Class B CDL with manual and airbrake endorsement (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
