Job Summary
Eliquin Homes is seeking a Construction Worker/Carpenter to participate in construction work on various residential construction projects. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude and an eagerness to work. Compensation will be based on the candidate's skill level and ability to work independently. The more skilled and independent you are, the more hours/higher wage you will get. Entry/apprentice level employees will be part-time.

Compensation - $25 per hour and up

Schedule - Monday through Friday, no weekends, no overtime

Responsibilities

The following is a list of work activities in which the employee may be asked to participate. Employees with little or no previous experience will work under guidance and supervision of the lead carpenter.

• Execute rough framing carpentry.
• Execute trim/finish carpentry.
• Install various types of siding materials.
• Install various types of windows and exterior doors.
• Install various types of roofing materials.
• Install interior doors.
• Apply caulk, paint, stain and other finishes to various materials.
• Use materials efficiently to minimize waste
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for all construction tasks.
• Safely and effectively operate machinery including boom lifts, telehandlers and skid steers.
• Load/Unload building materials from delivery vehicles.
• Ensure proper handling of heavy lifting duties associated with construction materials.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other tradesmen to ensure work is completed according to plans.
• Promptly report all questions or problems raised by clients, property owners and other tradesmen.
• Prioritize safety in all construction tasks and activities on the job site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment (job site and trailer).
• Maintain a friendly demeanor and positive attitude at all times.
• Treat all other tradesmen, clients and property owners with respect and kindness at all times.
