🛠Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms by verifying equipment functionality, ensuring instrument sterilization, and organizing surgical supplies
- Perform patient assessments preoperatively, including verification of identity, surgical site, and informed consent
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by maintaining a sterile field and anticipating procedural needs
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and document intraoperative events accurately
- Support post-anesthesia recovery by coordinating patient handoffs to PACU staff
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure compliance and accreditation readiness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to improve surgical outcomes and workflow efficiency
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical best practices
- Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and adaptability in high-volume, time-sensitive operating room settings
✅ Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state-specific)
- 2 years of operating room nursing experience (outpatient or ASC preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical nursing procedures
- Proficiency in perioperative documentation and electronic charting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and perform under pressure in dynamic surgical environments
💡 Preferred Qualifications
- CNOR certification (preferred or in progress)
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties (e.g., orthopedics, ENT, GI)
- Familiarity with AAAHC or other outpatient regulatory standards
- Prior experience working in high-volume ambulatory surgery centers
