What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Transformation Officer position at Elios AI?
Chief Transformation Officer
Location: Indianapolis, IN | Type: Full Time | Setup: Hybrid | Experience: 15 years | Pay: $800K-$1M significant equity
About the Role
We're hiring a Chief Transformation Officer to stand up a newly independent company carved out of a large public-company parent and build it into a business that runs on its own. This is a software and technology-led organization, and the carve-out is the moment it gets to define its own operating model from the ground up.
Backed by a global private equity firm, this is the senior operator who owns the separation and the transformation: untangling the business from shared parent systems, building what a standalone company needs, and steering the first 100 days against the value-creation plan. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with the CEO, the board, and the deal team.
This role is for someone who has done carve-outs before and is steady in the ambiguity that comes with them. If you like building order out of a moving situation, this is the kind of mandate that doesn't come around often.
What You'll Do
- Own the transformation plan for a business being separated from a large corporate parent and stood up independently
- Lead the separation from shared parent systems and build the operating model, processes, and reporting the standalone company needs
- Drive the technology and software agenda through the transition, from infrastructure to product
- Partner with the CEO, board, and PE deal team on the value-creation plan and the first 100 days
- Take cost out and build efficiency while the business finds its footing
- Shape and hire the leadership bench the independent company will need to scale
Qualifications
- 15 years of operating and transformation leadership, with deep carve-out and separation experience (standing a business up out of a larger parent)
- Strong software and technology background; you've owned or run a real software function, not just sponsored one
- Healthcare or health-tech experience is a plus
- A track record of value creation inside a PE-backed or newly independent company
- Comfortable operating in transition-state ambiguity, and disciplined enough to bring structure to it
- Based in or near Indianapolis, with a hybrid in-office presence
Why Join Us
This is a rare chance to take a business out of a large corporate parent and build it into a standalone company, with the backing of a global private equity firm and the mandate to shape nearly every part of how it runs. The equity is meaningful, the scope is end to end, and the outcome is yours to influence directly.
If you've built standalone companies out of carve-outs before and want to do it again with real ownership, this is the seat.
