Responsibilities
- Work on past due health insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Manage billing procedures for various insurance types and follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Coordinate patient referrals between healthcare providers, specialists, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth transitions of care.
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing clear explanations of billing statements and insurance coverage details.
Requirements
- Proven experience in insurance and billing in the healthcare field.
- Analysis skills to review claims data, and billing information for accuracy and compliance.
- Familiarity with insurance regulation standards and the intricacies of billing procedures in healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of completing referrals and getting approval from insurance companies for procedures and tests.
- Knowledge to contact insurance companies for claims that have not been paid or processed in a timely manner.
- ECW computer program a plus.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
