Bus Driver / Summer Counselor

About the Role:

The Bus Driver / Summer Counselor position at Kids R Kids Sandy Plains Academy is a unique opportunity that combines transportation and mentorship for children during the summer months. The primary goal of this role is to ensure the safe and timely transportation of children to and from various summer activities while also providing guidance and support as a counselor. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement.
• Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Experience in planning and leading recreational activities.
• Abilities to communicate with a diverse group of children and families.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport children to and from designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan and facilitate fun and educational activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding schedules, activities, and any concerns.
• Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the bus, conducting regular safety checks and reporting any issues.
