Mid Level Software Engineer

Hybrid 3 days onsite in Rockville, MD

Our client is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with hands-on Generative AI experience to join our growing engineering team. If you’re passionate about building scalable applications and leveraging the latest in AI/LLM technologies, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

Rate: $65.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale full-stack applications using Angular, Java/Spring Boot, and Python/FastAPI
• Develop secure APIs (REST & GraphQL) and responsive frontend experiences
• Design and implement Generative AI solutions (LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines)
• Work with cloud-native technologies on AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, etc.)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testing
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data, security, and business teams

Skillset:

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience
• Strong skills in Java and/or Python
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS (3 years)
• Hands-on experience with AWS and microservices architecture
• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI integrations
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases (SQL & NoSQL), and security best practices

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or RAG architectures
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, etc.)
• Exposure to observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch)

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
