Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join their team in El Segundo, CA!
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for complex initiatives within the private credit domain.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and operations teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Write and execute SQL queries to analyze datasets, validate business requirements, and support decision-making.
- Act as a subject matter expert for private credit products, workflows, and processes, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support testing and validation efforts by creating test plans, executing test cases, and tracking defects.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and communications across technical and business teams.
- Produce clear documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows, and data mappings.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of private credit instruments, structures, and industry practices.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning) is a plus.
Pay Rate: $75-$100/hr
