Eleven Recruiting is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations within a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a key partner to employees and frontline supervisors, supporting employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and recruiting for hourly manufacturing positions.
The HR Generalist will ensure accurate employee lifecycle processing within the HRIS system, maintain compliance with California employment regulations, and provide responsive HR support across the organization. This position requires strong HR operational experience, the ability to manage multiple employee matters simultaneously, and bilingual Spanish communication skills to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters including workplace concerns, policy interpretation, performance management guidance, disciplinary actions, and escalation of complex issues to HR leadership when appropriate.
- Support employee relations investigations and partner with managers to resolve workplace issues while maintaining compliance with California employment laws and company policies.
- Manage onboarding and new hire processing including HRIS entry, documentation completion, orientation coordination, and cross-functional communication with payroll, IT, and hiring managers.
- Coordinate offboarding processes including documentation, exit procedures, and HRIS updates to ensure accurate employee lifecycle records.
- Support benefits administration including eligibility updates, enrollment documentation, and responding to employee benefit inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and process employee lifecycle transactions including job changes, compensation updates, transfers, leave status changes, and terminations within the HRIS system.
- Perform HRIS data audits and maintain data integrity across HR, payroll, and benefits systems.
- Support recruiting efforts for hourly manufacturing positions including interview scheduling, candidate coordination, and hiring manager support.
- Assist with HR operational reporting including headcount tracking, employee transactions, and compliance documentation.
- Maintain HR documentation including policies, forms, and templates while supporting HR process improvements within a regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to payroll processing and time and attendance systems is helpful but not required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 years of HR Generalist, HR Operations, or HR Coordinator experience.
- Experience supporting employee relations matters, onboarding, benefits administration, and recruiting.
- Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience using HRIS systems such as ADP or similar platforms.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple HR processes simultaneously.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting manufacturing or aerospace production environments.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now or similar systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
