The Fun Stuff
- Manage communication websites, to include not just updates to content but improving functionality (a UX’ers dream) using WordPress and Joomla.
- Building websites from the ground up.
- You must have a bachelor’s degree in UX, Design, or a related field, and 5 years of experience (4 additional years of professional experience working as a front-end developer, web designer, UX designer, or related field can be substituted in lieu of degree).
- Experience designing and developing high-quality websites using WordPress and Joomla!
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.x, Section 508 compliance, responsive design, and front-end best practices in secure government environments.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Developing wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups is your jam.
- Knowledge of human-centered design methodology or design thinking principles.
- You can successfully build out websites from the ground up and easily transfer existing content along the way.
- Working independently or jumping in to work collaboratively with a team.
- You have an awesome portfolio or link you can share that showcases design experience.
- Ability to take the reins and manage projects thought the website development process.
- Certifications in UX/UI, Accessibility, and/or Front-End Development.
