JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title : Busser / Service Assistant

Overview
Exceed expectations by meeting and anticipating the wishes and needs of the guests and complies with EHG standards & procedures to exceed both guests’ and employees’ expectations. Assist and support other parts of
EHG operation.
In Brief:
- Table set-up and maintenance
- Food running
- Drinks running
- Top up of water and iced tea
- Replenish side stations
- Perform basic cleaning task – polishing chinaware’s, glasses and cutleries
- Assist with special events as needed – food runners / pass around canapés
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or side stations, return to the kitchen for cleaning
- Stand for long hours
- Carry, lift and move furniture’s when required
- Work closely with the restaurant team members to create pleasant dining experience
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Communicate with server when a guest requests something needed if necessary
- Inform Manager on Duty if any issues with a guest arises
- Help Host seat if necessary
- Responsible for knowing food and drink menu to better assist guests
- A busser serves patrons by setting tables; placing and replacing silverware; keeping beverage glasses full; adhering to sanitation and safety policies; clearing and cleaning tables, chairs, and environment.
- Prepares venue for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers liners, and bus stations.
- Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- No previous restaurant experience required.
- Good communication skills to internal and external customers.
- MUST BE on the feet for most of the working hours
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have exceptional grooming habits.
