Overview
Exceeds expectations by meeting and anticipating the wishes and needs of the guests and comply with EHGstandards & procedures to exceed both guests’ and employees’ expectations. Assists & supports other parts of EHGoperations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect money for drinks served
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guest’s excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, ordering food, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Take beverage orders from service staff or directly from guests
- Serve wine, beers, cocktails, and mocktails.
- Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serve food items to guest seated at the bar.
- Plan, organize, and control the operations of the restaurant and bar
- Slice and prepare fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Supervise the work of other bar staff and other bartenders.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Order or requisition liquors and supplies.
- Plan bar menus as needed
- Speedily and efficiently, serve as many guests as possible
- Ensure guest satisfaction by making recommendations
- Ensure freshness of all ingredients used in the bar, including juices and garnishes.
- Report any spillage, breakage, missing items, or any other incidents that may occur to a Manager as soon as possible.
- Inventory control of all bar items.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience required.
- Good communication skills to internal and external customer.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have exceptional grooming habits.
