What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Account Manager position at Elevation Outdoors?
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Elevation Outdoors is a veteran-owned landscaping company serving commercial and residential clients across the Southeast. We run full-service grounds care with maintained equipment, defined routes, and clear expectations.
We're hiring an Account Manager to own a book of business — the clients, the service outcomes, the renewals, and the growth inside those accounts. This is a relationship and results role, not an order-taking role. Your clients should never have to chase you for status.
What you own
▸ Client satisfaction, communication, and retention across your assigned accounts
▸ Health of your maintenance book — renewals, expansions, and pricing needs
▸ Enhancement work inside your accounts: finding it, getting it priced, closing it
▸ Account-level gross margin and service outcome accountability
▸ Issue resolution, escalation, and closeout communication
▸ Scope clarity and account documentation in Aspire
▸ Professional representation of Elevation Outdoors with clients, property managers, boards, and vendor partners
You'll provide staffing and performance input on your accounts. Formal people management, discipline, and termination decisions stay with the Branch Manager and HR.
How you do it
▸ Walk your sites on a schedule. Hold client meetings and service reviews. Document everything in Aspire.
▸ Keep a current account plan for your top and at-risk accounts — renewal dates, scope gaps, enhancement opportunities, pricing needs
▸ Prepare, coordinate, and close proposals for enhancements and account expansions
▸ Work with the Production Manager so crews know the priorities, site expectations, quality issues, and upcoming client commitments
▸ Participate in weekly pipeline, renewal, issue, and job-costing reviews
▸ Take clean handoffs from the sales team when a new client becomes an operating account
▸ Pull in the Estimator, Install Project Manager, or Enhancements Manager when existing-account work needs technical pricing or specialty execution
▸ Escalate major pricing, renewal, legal, or customer-risk items to the Branch Manager before making commitments
Systems and tools
Aspire CRM — proposals, opportunities, service issues, site audits, and customer records. Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Approved proposal templates.
How success is measured
▸ Client retention rate and recovery of at-risk accounts
▸ Enhancement revenue and gross profit generated inside your book
▸ Client touches, site walks, and documented service reviews per quarter
▸ Account-level gross margin
▸ Aged issues, response-time compliance, and customer closeout discipline
What we're looking for
▸ Experience managing client relationships in landscaping, grounds care, facilities, or a comparable field-service business
▸ Comfort talking about scope, pricing, and margin with property managers and HOA boards
▸ Discipline to document your work in a CRM without being reminded
▸ Strong written and verbal communication — clear, direct, professional
▸ Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
▸ Ability to walk properties in all seasons and weather
We run full-service grounds care — maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and installation — for HOAs, commercial properties, and private estates. Crews work with maintained equipment, defined routes, and clear expectations. Supervisors are promoted from the field, and we train people to move up.
Five values run the company:
▸ Honor — We do what is right, even when it's difficult.
▸ Integrity — We do what we say we will do.
▸ Loyalty — One team. We back each other and our clients.
▸ Respect — Your property treated the way we'd want ours treated.
▸ Selfless Service — The mission and the client come before the individual.
