Engagement Type: Contract / Temporary

Duration: - 5 - 6 months (early summer through fall)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite)

Schedule: Full‑time

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate


Elevate is partnering with a highly respected global technology organization to identify an experienced Employment Attorney for a defined, short‑term engagement. This role is well suited for a senior, self‑directed employment law professional who is comfortable advising independently on complex employee issues, partnering closely with HR and business leaders, and providing practical, business‑oriented guidance across U.S. and Canadian matters. The position offers immediate impact, a clear timeline, and the opportunity to work within a mature, collaborative in‑house legal environment.


Required Qualifications

  • U.S. qualified attorney in good standing
  • 8 years of legal experience, primarily focused on employment law
  • Strong experience advising on:
  • Accommodations
  • Wage and hour issues
  • Employee relations
  • Internal investigations
  • Experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian employment matters
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound legal judgment
  • Strong communication skills and discretion in handling sensitive matters
  • Ability to meet hybrid onsite requirements (minimum 3 days per week)
  • Availability for a summer–fall contract timeframe


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior in‑house employment law experience
  • Direct experience partnering with HR, People Operations, or Employee Relations teams
  • Exposure to multinational or cross‑border employment issues
  • Background in a corporate, technology, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with corporate policies, codes of conduct, and governance frameworks
  • Experience stepping into temporary or leave‑coverage roles with minimal ramp‑up
  • Comfort managing change and high‑stakes employee situations
