We are looking for an MA to join our collaborative care team in a supportive environment.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting our physician by delivering high-quality clinical and administrative assistance in a boutique medical setting. The ideal candidate is warm, detail-oriented, and committed to providing white-glove service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

• Prepare and room patients for exams, taking and recording vital signs
• Assist with exams, procedures, and diagnostic tests
• Administer medications and immunizations as ordered
• Perform phlebotomy and process labs
• Manage specimen collection and processing
• CLIA waived point-of-care testing
• EKGs, spirometry, vision and hearing testing
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR)

Administrative Duties:

• Schedule appointments and manage calendars with attention to continuity and convenience for patients
• Check patients in and ensure accurate updated insurance information
• Handle patient communications via phone, email, and patient portal with prompt and professional responses
• Assist with insurance verification, lab follow-ups, and medication refills
• Coordinate specialist referrals, imaging, and other outside services as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with prior authorizations
• Help with billing tasks
• Demonstrate problem solving abilities and take initiative
• Keep work area tidy

Concierge-Level Service:

• Build relationships with patients and anticipate their needs
• Provide follow-up calls and check-ins as part of ongoing care coordination
• Support personalized care plans, wellness tracking, and patient education
• Maintain utmost discretion and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA at all times
• Work cohesively with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Respond to changing clinical demands and patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate empathy and understanding while addressing patient concerns and inquiries.
• On time and reliable in job attendance

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA preferred)
• 2 years minimum of experience in primary care
• Phlebotomy and lab processing competency, certification preferred
• Strong EMR proficiency ( Athena experience preferred)
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
